Getting error on Starup Parameters with app name 12 Years, 5 Months ago Karma: 0
I have in the application parameter of the looseactivexlogon.html file our program naem "33 Aim for Windows".

When I go to logon Im getting a error message "33 is inaccessible. Please direct your system administrator to the log file for details."

I looked at the log and couldnt tell whats wrong but I think I figured it out.

It seems to be the spaces in the application name. When I replaced the spaces with underscores the program opened up with out problem.

Im going to have 2 different types of users loggin in one who will get the application opened for them and the other who will ge the normal interface so they can access the other applications I have published.

Is there some way to keep the spaces in the application names or do I have to keep renaming them?

You might check page 30 (bottom) of the Admin guide.

When using parameters with the ActiveX Control and the Netscape Plug-in, the text " must be used to accommodate spaces in application names and application arguments. For example, if the application is registered with the Cluster Manager with a space " must be used.

Examples: ActiveX Control

Code:

<OBJECT ID="Control1" WIDTH=0 HEIGHT=0
CLASSID="CLSID:76850F2A-FCAA-454F-82D3-BD46CB186EF5"
CODEBASE="ggw-activex.cab#Version=2,0,0,0" >
<PARAM NAME="application" VALUE=""Corel Ventura"">
<PARAM NAME="args" VALUE=""c:\my test\my file.txt"">
</OBJECT>
