The current GO-Global for Windows release (3.0.x or higher) does not yet support Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1, which Microsoft released this past Thursday (March 31st).

Service Pack 1 will be supported in a subsequent Compatibility Update that will be released as soon as possible.

All existing customers are on the support notification list so yes, they will be notified via e-mail. If you are a pre-sales customer, the update will come from your Account Mgr or a pre-sales engineer.

FYI, GO-Global now supports W2K3 SP1 as of release 3.0.4 (build 3146). This distribution can be downloaded from our website via

Could Windows 2003 (SP1) clients access global through IE? 12 Years ago Karma: 0
In our environment we ran GO-Global release 3.0.4 (build 3150) on our servers.
However, Windows 2003 Server (SP1) clients couldn’t access go global through their browsers.
Here is some steps that has been performed
- User goes to goglobal
- Browser prompts if user to accept ActiveX installation
- User reply “yes”
- Browser installs ActiveX
- And… nothing happens; meanwhile 50 other users connect to the server from their XP boxes successfully.

Further research shows that
- IEGCtrl class is enabled and running in IE
- Fifteen (15) other DLLs owned by {76850F2A-FCAA-454F-82D3-BD46CB186EF5}sits in C:\Microsoft\Downloaded Program Files\CONFLICT.2\ folder

I tried to change security settings to lowest and open everything as wide as possible, uninstalled and reinstalled ActiveX a few times. No luck…

Could Windows 2003 Server (SP1) clients access go global through their browsers?
I would appreciate any info

Thx
Alex.

Hi Alex,

You should be able to connect through ActiveX from a Win2003 SP1 client. It would be best if we correspond through email to work on resolving this problem. Could you send email to ggws@graphon.com.

Thanks,
Willo
