Go-Global Application Publication Service keeps failing with error 3583.

We have installed the compatibility update from early January, but still no go. Also tried installing ggw-3.0.3.3074.exe from 2/2/2005 but same result. What is the proper sequence for these two?

Had to install Server 2003 SP1 for security reasons, but pretty certain this was AFTER we started having problems launching Go-Global APS.

WS2003 SP1 won't be supported in an RC release. You have to wait for the final release of SP1.

Understood. But the issue preceded installation of SP1, so I still have the question about the inability of GoGlobal's APS to run, resulting in error 3853.

1. How should I sequence the installations of the compatibility update and the ggw-3.0.3.3074.exe?

2. Is there a way to diagnose the problem if it turns out that re-installing GG and these updates does not result in a fix?

There are no incompatible security updates, so you should be OK after installing 3.0.3.3074 (you don't need to apply a compatibility update). There are a couple of unsupported hotfixes (these are only available by contacting MS), so make sure these aren't present uninstalled: 835768
839210 819760.

2. Is there a way to diagnose the problem if it turns out that re-installing GG and these updates does not result in a fix?
Look in the APS log under \Program Files\GraphOn\GO-Global Server\Log. It should tell you what system file is causing the problem. Once you have this GraphOn support can help if you submit a problem report.

OK, I have uninstalled Windows Server 2003 SP1 RC2. In fact, I re-installed Windows Server 2003 and got it running fairly smoothly.

Then I re-did the Windows Updates (37 of them, but only regular ones, no special hotfixes). Go Global APS stopped successfully launching somewhere in the middle of these. Here's the Event Log message:

The GO-Global Application Publishing Service service terminated with service-specific error 3576 (0xDF8).

Here are the uc and aps logs after that:
The first uc log that shows errors is here:

Hi R,

Maybe you can check by removing MSfix 885881 and 147222.
