our site user cannot connect to our server via go global.

After call support, we get reply mention that port 491 was block. and they email us a doc about port forwarding for 491.

we do the port forwarding. but cannot solve our problem.

We have:

1. Turn off firewall in server.
2. Turn off firewall in router.
3. Set port forwarding in router for port 491 to server.

We have check:

1. TELNET wan.ip 491 from site.
2. netstat -a in server. port 491 was listening.

What can i do to solve the problem?

After further checking, we notice one thing,

When we use web site such like yougetsignal (and other similar web site), the ip address it detect (which should be our router external ip) is 203.x.x.x but in the router setup, we notice the WAN IP (which we suspect this should be the external ip of router) is 10.x.x.x

but what i understand is 10.x.x.x should one of the private ip range, isn't it?

is there any way to check my external ip on internet? or what we expected is actually wrong? (because we are not familiar to network setting)

We try to contact our goglobal supplier but they blame it's ISP problem because they block port 491. They suggest us to try port forwarding to forward port 491 from router to server. (Which looks like not logic to me, I think port forwarding should not solve the problem if ISP really block 491)

We contact ISP and they said they didn't block the port, and they blame it's router problem. So we contact our router supplier and we even switch the router to a new router. but still cannot solve the goglobal problem.

Any help to solve the problem?

After more then 2 weeks but still cannot solve the problem.

Call supplier but they just said it's not their problem, post question on forum here but cannot get any word here.

So finally, we decide to switch to other remote software and it's running smooth now.
