Unfortunately, you're working with a version that is no longer supported and EOL. If the system has been running fine and frequent disconnect started recently, I'd check to see if other software on the system may cause a conflict, Antivirus, Firewall, etc.

I too have been getting frequent disconnects (which did not occur in the past). I am using the latest version of GGW4, on a 2008R2 (64bit) server. As I am using Excel at the time, the document becomes locked when a disconnect occurs and the only way to be able to open the spreadsheet is to reboot the server. It creates a lot of frustration and makes GG no longer an option.

This server does not have anti-virus on it, it uses a linux gateway/firewall. It is the same configuration when it was working. The only thing to have changed is Windows updates on the server.
