Incompatible client and server 8 Years ago Karma: 0
Hello,

I've downloaded the windows server to test, and everything is working ok on a LAN setup. But a test on a remote computer using 3G connection gave the error "The versions of the client and server are incompatible. Please contact your system administrator".

I'm using the Windows client on the remote computer, which was downloaded at the same time as the server. This computer has Vista installed, and the server has XP SP3.

Any ideas?

On a followup on this matter, it is clear now that this problem is related to incompatibility with some software on the client computer, as many other computers with 3G have connected correctly.

On a completely different subject, will you have an iphone client soon?

Best regards,

Rui,

It is always recommended that you pull the Windows client software from the GG server (rather than the GG website) so that you have matching versions. Uninstall any GG software from the client (ActiveX control, Firefox plug-in, native Windows client, etc) and then copy & install the client software from the server. Look in the following folder for the Windows client:

C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\goglobal
C:\GraphOn\GO-Global Server\Web
