TOPIC: No logon dialog
#2952
No logon dialog 8 Years, 5 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi,

Problem is there is no logon dialog at the client. The dialog Connect to Server... is shown, the Go-Global logo is shown, then blank screen -no logon edit box, no continuation of session.

Fat client is used (not activex plugin), even using the client on the cluster manager server does not make a difference. Installed everything over and over again, error remains.

This is for one of my customer's production environment, please help me!!!

Kind regards,

I can think of one possible scenario...

You have a firewall (or router) that is blocking TCP port 491. Be sure this port is open. better yet, configure your firewall to use Port Forwarding and forward port 491 directly to your GG server.

No firewall and AV-software is configured and btw, I started the client on the server itself, so a firewall is then out of scope, isn't it?

As the problem could not be solved within an acceptable time frame, my customer has decided to stop this install and try it later on a SBS environment. I hope that will succeed.

Anyway thanx for your effort.

hi,

i had this problem to - with many printer on the client and using driver server instead of universal driver. try to delete the printer.ini on the client, disable printer mapping and check taskmanager if ggw.exe is running (on the client).
in the last update graphon changed some printer settings (no acrobat reader on client is needed)
