TOPIC: Error connecting using mobile broadband GPRS / 3G

Error connecting using mobile broadband GPRS / 3G 8 Years, 5 Months ago Karma: 0
My GGW client connects just fine using a wired or WiFi connection. However, when I'm out of the road and using Mobile Broadband (GPRS/EDGE/3G) GGW won't connect. Instead I receive the following message from GoGlobal:

"The versions of the client and server are incompatible. Please contact your systems administrator"

Now, I know the client and server are compatible otherwise they wouldn't work when I have a WiFi or Wired connection - (which they do)... and I know my Mobile Broadband connection is working ok as I can access the internet and webmail without a hitch.

Environment:
GoGlobal Client for Windows 3.2 on Windows XP
GoGlobal Server for Windows 3.2 on Windows Server 2003

Thanks for any assistance.
Al.

The only time I've ever seen that error is when there is indeed a mismatch between the client and server. The type of network connection should have effect. If you're connecting from a browser client, you might remove the ActiveX control or FireFox plug-in, or clear your cache completely. Another suggestion is to try connecting from another client workstation.

I've checked the client and server versions and they're both running 3.2. I don't think its a problem with the cache as I'm using the GoGlobal Windows client.

I can connect on my laptop (the one I'm using right now) when I have a WLAN or Ethernet connection to my home broadband (for example). However if I switch to using a Cellular (3G) connection instead of a WLAN or Ethernet connection, then the GoGlobal client refuses to connect and tells me the versions are different.
