let me see if I can describe this to you as best as I can. This scenario involves 2 servers. One is a go-global / accounting workstation server, the other server is the accounting server that has the accounting database. This accounting software is called MAS 200 and is made by Sage. One thing you should know, is that both of these servers are part of the same domain and the accounting software is installed on the GoGlobal server only as a application that connects to its database on the other server. What happens in this scenario, two or more users go in through go global and click and launch the application, they both can go into MAS 200 and it works fine until one of them tries to exit the software. When a user exits, a (MAS, not windows or GoGlobal)message displays and says "there are current active modules(sessions) are you sure you want to close?" The user clicks yes and they exit the software program, but all other users in MAS 200 through Go Global are shut out of what ever task or modules they are using. For example if Tim is working in Sales Orders and Sue exits MAS 200, Tim's Sales order module closes and he is now exited out of the module he was working in, but not the MAS software. MAS doesn't completely close for Tim, but his work he was working on in the Sales Order module is now lost.

Anyone have a clue how to fix this or anything to try? We try to sell GoGlobal with our products and this problem is limiting us. This same problem does not occur with Terminal services or Citrix running it the same way.

The problem may be with "how" you are publishing the application and how the application is expecting a shutdown. In other words, are there any specific startup or closure parameters? Also, is the accounting software "multi-user" aware? In cases like this, we've been able to resolve the issue by launching the application from a batch file. You would publish the batch file using cmd.exe, not the accounting application exe. In the GGW Admin Guide, check chapter VI and look for the section "Application Script Support". Note that the batch file should end with an EXIT command.

You may also want to increase the APS log to level 4 and analyze the log output following the MAS closure.

I might need a little help creating this batch file. I've google'd trying to put darguments on it, but I can't get it to work right.

TARGET ="C:\Program Files\Sage Software\MAS 200 Client\Version4\MAS90\Home\pvxwin32.exe" ../launcher/sota.ini *Client -ARG "accounting1" "10000" "MAS 200"

START IN = "C:\Program Files\Sage Software\MAS 200 Client\Version4\MAS90\Home"

Try it first as in the attached screen shot.

If that does not work, create a batch file similar to the following and publish as described in the Admin guide and earlier in this post:

-------------- batch ----------------
c:
cd \Program Files\Sage Software\MAS 200 Client\Version4\MAS90\Home\
pvxwin32.exe ../launcher/sota.ini *Client -ARG "accounting1" "10000" "MAS 200"
exit
-------------------------------------

well, the graphic you posted is how I've always launched this application. I changed it to the batch file as stated from what you posted and whats in the user guide, but I still get the same results as originally posted. I'm not too sure what else to do. Any other suggestions?
