Hi there,

I use version 2.1.3.2096 of GrapOn to run iGoldMine. Lately I can't see the applications Icons in the program Window. I tried the refresh option without luck. Do you know what might be the problem? Is it server side or client side? Thx.

I use XP PRO with the following config:

Microsoft Windows XP Professional
Version: 5.1.2600
Service Pack: 0.0
Location: C:\WINDOWS
PID: 55274-640-0000356-23333
Hot Fix: Q329115

This could be caused by not having appropriate permissions to the executables on the server (you will need minimum permissions of read/execute). I would suggest checking the Cluster Manager to be sure the applications are published correctly (correct path, etc); if all is in order, then check the permissions on the executables themselves. If you need further assistance, you should contact Technical Support at FrontRange. If you prefer, you can send email to ggws@graphon.com and I will forward the information to FrontRange for someone to contact you.

Thanks for your answer Willo! I forgot to mention that this happens once in a while. Last time it happened I rebooted my client machine and the apps icon appear the next time I logged in.

I don't recall seeing an intermittent problem like this before. The best way to move forward would be if you could send an APS log from the time of failure. You can send it to ggws@graphon.com and I will forward it to FrontRange for further assistance.

You the mean "apps log" on my client? Where do I find this on my client machine? AC

The APS logs reside on the server. FrontRange puts them in \program files\common files\FrontRangeSolutions\AppPublishingService\Log.
