Open files on server after client disconnects 11 Years, 4 Months ago Karma: 0
Hello,

We have an application that uses a BDE database. Even after the client disconnects there are several open files on the application server. Most of them are dll files related to the BDE database and some ini files. Why is GO-Global not releasing the open files after the client disconnects?

check "disconnected sessions terminate" setting is immediately.
If you using nactive client.Try ActiveX client will still happen or not.
If still happen try publish your application with cmd style.

Disconnected sessions terminate is already set to immediately.

We are using the windows client. I do not have the web client setup on the server. So I have not tested the ActiveX Client.

The session is closing in GO-Global. The problem is the application server still has open files and the session never closes. Its the same open files every time.

This problem does not occur when running the program when logged on locally.

I'm not sure what you mean by cmd style.

I had ever meet that nactive client will hold application's sub process.
When using active X client. It's work fine. When user close IE.All the application's process will be close.
ActiveX client will be a good choice.you also can set looseactivexlogon.html as first page.will be conervent.

Hello,

I tested with the active x client and have the same problem. My current work around is to schedule this script nightly on the application server.

REM *** Close files left open by GO-Global
Net Session \\myServer /delete /y
Net Session \\192.168.0.1 /delete /y
