We have a remote user who has been able to log in fine for months using v3.0.3.3074. Mainly uses Act Professional and / or SAGE. Recently has had random disconnections from the server during the day. Any ideas ?

Hi,

My site got the same symptoms. My site has just upgraded from version 3.0.2 to 3.1.1.3494 yesterday. In the past, the remote users would not get disconnected as frequent as today !! I've 30 remote users and many of them got disconnected within 5 - 30 minutes randomly. I've set all the timeout values to 600 minutes but didn't help !! The users were complaining for frequent disconnection and required repeatedly logon. The network or hardware stuff remain unchanged during or after the upgrade.

How can I alter the polling interval in go-global ?

One final remark - I've tested Go-global in my local area network but also experienced disconnection !!! I've also tested the LAN connection using a 'ping' commands and didn't find any problem with the LAN......

Disconnects Too 11 Years, 7 Months ago Karma: 0
I too am experiencing frequent disconnects after upgrading to 3.1.1.3494 version. Clients did not have this problem before the upgrade and are complaining of having to connect as many as 20 time each a day. Can someone Help!

try this.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\
Value: TcpMaxDataRetransmissions
Data (REG_DWORD): 10

The value of TcpMaxDataRetransmissions is the number of times TCP retransmits an unacknowledged data segment on an existing connection. TCP retransmits data segments until they are acknowledged or until this value expires. Basically, when a client doesn't respond to a packet from the server, the server will attempt to retransmit the packet up to TcpMaxDataRetransmissions number of times. By increasing this value, you are giving the client more time to respond to the server, which will help improve flaky connections or connections with high latency or higher than normal packet loss.
