Darren,

I think we need to clarify that the standalone "explorer.exe" can NOT be published but that you can publish the Windows Explorer. This will allow you to view and manage files & folders.

The easiest way to do this is to publish "Internet Explorer".

    1. From the Cluster Manager, Add an application.
    2. Browse to C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
    3. Add C:\ to Command Line Options to specify a start path (change path to reflect a different start directory)
    4. Change name to "File Explorer"
    5. Change Icon to reflect File Folder
    Click OK

Is there another way to do this? I am testing Go-Global on a test machine. The test machine has IE 7 installed and IE 7 does not browse the file system. When you type c:\ in the IE 7 address bar, it loads c:\windows\explorer.exe.

I tried publishing explorer.exe with the c:\ command option but that does not work.

I would like users to have access to a network drive. I want the users to be able to copy and launch files locally.

Kurt, I haven't tested IE 7 with this but I believe you can also accomplish the same if you copy/rename explorer.exe and publish the renamed executable. Let us know if this works for you.

Hello,

copying explorer.exe and renaming it worked. I still have a problem though. This does not work how I would like it too. I can not copy and paste a file to the client machine. Also when I try to open a file, it opens in go-global. I would like it to open on the client machine.

Thanks,
Kurt
