We found a timeout of 80 seconds between unix server and windows clients. If there is no hand shake for the mentioned time the connection will be suspended. Is there a possiblity to change this value?

Hello Ralf,

The GO-Global for UNIX client and gold exchange a 'ping' protocol. You can adjust this timeout with the '-ping_timout <seconds>' argument to gold. You can also disable it entirely with the '-no_ping' option to gold.

Because there are various timing considerations for the ping protocol, the value you use may not be the exact timeout you see in practice.
