TOPIC: SuSE 9.2 and font display

SuSE 9.2 and font display 12 Years, 9 Months ago Karma: 0
Running GoGlobal on a RHEL system as the server. Trying to connect with SuSE 9.2 base install worked great, everything was visible. After upgrading to the latest drivers and kernel, the windows and desktop launch, but no text is visible.
Any idea on this?

Thanks

Scott,

Can you confirm exactly what changed? Are you using SuSE as your desktop and it was upgraded with the latest driver/kernel set? If so, what version of kernel and libc/glibc are being used?

If you upgraded the RHEL server please advise it's version of libc/glibc.

Also, please review this FAQ...

I'm using RHEL v.3 as the server for GoGlobal and SuSE as the client to connect to the RHEL system.

If so, what version of kernel and libc/glibc are being used?

Running futher tests, This issue is specifically related to KDE. Selecting the KDE desktop presents the issue, but selecting and launching the gnome icon, there are not issues with seeing the fonts or menu items in my current gnome setup.
I will look into my kde setup to see if there's any special configurations I have.

The issue has been resolved. After installing the 100dpi fonts, everything is working again.
