Hi list,

We have setup the GoGlobal server and we are trying to print to a NON postscript printer on a windows network. When I do, it comes with the windows dialog (correct), and when I press the printbutton, I get a message from the printer that it is unable to print Postscript. Anyone a solution?

As no-one posted an answer, I will answer it myself.

We developed a virtual postscript printer that prints to the local default printer. Golpr prints to the virtual postscript printer. This way the driver of the printer on the Windows machine is used and there is no need to install all kinds of drivers on the Unix box.

I have used ghostscript in conjunction with a wrapper script to convert default ps output from our unix applications to whatever format is required on client end. This seems to work well.
