Hi list,

We have developed a pretty big system which is to be run under (with?) goglobalux.

We also store documents (OpenOffice) in the database. Sometimes a user will export such a document,. modify it and will want to import it in the database again. The gofile utility makes it possible to export such a document in the way I want it, but according to the documentation, importing from a client can only be done by gofile with the specification of the destination by the user. Obviously this is not what we want, because we want to import the document into the database again.

So is there a possibility?

Dick,

Not sure if I understand your question correctly... If not the goglobal user, who (or how) do you want to specify the destination?

gofile takes few options and performs two main functions:

Code:

-s    to send a file to the client
-r     to retrieve a file from the client

In either case, you will be prompted with a window to browse and select the file you want to transfer. A few more options are available to handle automatic conversion and execution of the transferred file. You can find more detail on page 45 of the Administration guide.
