We are using GoGlobal to present a client application which has its own authentication. Is there a way to present this application without requiring GoGlobal authentication as well? We don't want to maintain a list of users who can access the tool through GoGlobal nor do we want to hand out a username and password for some single account that everyone shares because that opens security issues on the UNIX servers that are hosting the application.

We're running GoGlobal 2.2.15 on Solaris 10 x86.

Ok, I found something in the documentation that shows how to present an application using web access using the IPviewer.html file for Internet Explorer. With the following section of the file, I can set it up to auto authenticate. Does anyone know if there is an equivalent for Firefox? I know there is a Firefox plugin, but I can't seem to figure out any auto-authenticate.

<OBJECT CLASSID="CLSID:c153b3d7-fc2f-4be8-a5a1-63a8e3e774db"
CODEBASE=Iplugin.cab#Version=2,2,15,1125 >
<PARAM NAME="username" VALUE="">
<PARAM NAME="password" VALUE="">
<PARAM NAME="host" VALUE="">
<PARAM NAME="port" VALUE="">
<PARAM NAME="launch" VALUE="">
</OBJECT>

The same parameters work for all supported browsers. For Firefox, you would look at the file "NPviewer.html".

No options in that file that I can see. Do you happen to know if there is any equivalent options for Firefox or does automated authentication only work with the IE plugin?

There are equivalent options for Firefox. Not sure what you mean by "automated login". There is no "pass-through authentication" similar to Windows. In this case, you have to hard-code a username and password (embed in the HTML code) to log in.

Yes, "pass-through authentication" is what I mean. Ultimately, I want to be able to have a user get to the provided software without needing to authenticate against the UNIX server since the application has its own built-in authentication.
