concurrent license 8 Years, 7 Months ago Karma: 0
Dear all,

We have bought the following type of license:
Product : GO-Global for UNIX v2.2
License Type: concurrent 1

and we were sent several Product codes of type:
23P883xccccccccccSK223469325
23P884xcccccccccckK223469326
23P885xcccccccccczK223469326
23P886xccccccccccHK223469326

According to the Licensing Web site in order to get a valid license I should provide the hostid for the server and each product code.

I wonder since i have many product codes and therefore I will get many license files how do I combine these licenses to the server. As far as I know only one license.dat file should exist on the server.

Thank you in advance for your response.

Dimitris

Dimitris,

First step is to obtain (register) all your license files from the product codes.
The next step is to simply take all the INCREMENT lines and join them together in one license file. For example:

----------------- Server License 1 ------------------
SERVER chrome 00010223f2af
VENDOR graphon
INCREMENT UX graphon 2.1 permanent 25 EBFC59CE18F4 \
HOSTID=ANY ck=170

----------------- Server License 2 ------------------
SERVER chrome 00010223f2af
VENDOR graphon
INCREMENT UX graphon 2.1 permanent 50 60BA660E0A01 \
HOSTID=ANY ck=124

----------------- Joined License File ---------------
SERVER chrome 00010223feaf
VENDOR graphon
INCREMENT UX graphon 2.1 permanent 25 EBFC59CE18F4 \
HOSTID=ANY ck=170
INCREMENT UX graphon 2.1 permanent 50 60BA660E0A01
HOSTID=ANY ck=124

The file syntax might change between versions. Also note that in GO-Global for UNIX the license file is designated as "license.dat". In windows (GGW) it's "license.lic".

Thank you very much for your response.

I have one more question.
In case you have 2 or more servers and you want to share the license on those servers(Let's assume that we have license for 10 users and two servers. When both servers are up and running users may connect to any of them [i.e. 8 to the first server and 2 to the second one or 7-3 and so on], while one of the servers is down all the users should be able to connect to the other one)

What kind of licensing scheme is applicable on this case?

Thank you in advance for your help,

Dimitris
