When I log on to afs(UNIX) using DT windows the changes that I make to the DT windows screen don't get remembered. Example is changing the name of a window. So each time I connect I have to reenter any changes from the last session. Any Idea how to store these changes from session to session?

Jim,

I'm not sure where these would be saved, but a start might be to check the permissions on the ${HOME}/.dt/ directory and ensure that you have write access to these.

It might also be a problem related to the fact that it's possible (and likely) to get different DISPLAY values when using a multi-user product like GO-Global. This might mean that your changes are saved, but only for the DISPLAY value that you currently have. The next time you log in, you'll be using different settings because of the different DISPLAY that was assigned. In this case, you'd have to check into where dtwm finds default values for these settings and possibly modify those to be the ones that you want.

Hope this helps,
Troy
