Is GO-Global supposed to pick up a users ~/.xsession? It doesn't appear to be doing so.

Cheers

Hello Cliff,

This is a difficult question to answer on the surface. If you are running CDE, then CDE should pick that file up. Other window managers may also take it upon themselves to run the file, but GO-Global for UNIX does not specifically do anything with that file. This is really a question about the item you're publishing and what it does or does not do.

Having said that, if you wanted it to be run for a particular session, you could always publish a simple shell script that did something like:

Code:

if [ -x ${HOME}/.xsession ]
then
. ${HOME}/.xsession   # Run personalized file if present
else
    . /var/X11/somewhere/Xsession # Else run systemwide file
fi
/path/to/my/application $*  # Run the published application

To go into more detail we'd need to know what you were publishing and perhaps some details about how it runs.

Thanks,
Troy
