Version mismatch 11 Years, 6 Months ago Karma: 0
I am using GoGlobal to connect my PC (Windows 2000, client) to UNIX (Solaris8, server). The connection can be established. However, when I type in goglobal, it gives me the following message:

Software version mismatch.
Server Version 1.91
PC Release 1.6.

This connection used to work well. The following is the information on the connection window:

GlobalInit: starting..
GlobalInit: xdm mode Off
GlobalInit: setting signal handlers..
GlobalInit: Creating lock file..
GlobalInit: Creating display name..
Your display number is 1.

The DISPLAY environment variable has been set to "AW5101:1"
Using authority file //.Xauthority
Writing authority file //.Xauthority
GlobalInit: allocating a pseudo terminal
GlobalInit: redirecting stderr..(more info in /tmp/Xerr:1)
Diagnostic messages from this session were redirected to /tmp/Xerr:1

Can you please help me here?

The version of GraphOn software you are using is very old, and unfortunately the support we can offer for those versions is fairly limited. I would recommend that you obtain the latest version client and server from our FTP site and use those, as those versions will be compatible.

The client can be downloaded from:

ftp://ftp.graphon.com/pub/GO-Global/v1.65/GPC_165_61.exe

The server can be downloaded from:

ftp://ftp.graphon.com/pub/GlobalHost/v1.94

I hope this helps...
