Thanks

LDAP Support with e-Directory for Novell 11 Years, 9 Months ago Karma: 0
We are looking at purchasing GraphOn Go Global, however. We would need to integrate it with our current Novell servers using LDAP. Does anyone know if this is possible or if there is support for this?

UP!

Hi,

I would like to know if it's possible to authenticate thru a LDAP server with Go Global and what configuration to do ?

Anyone already done that ?

Thank you.

GO-Global for UNIX v2.2.x includes as a new feature support for PAM-based authentication. This should allow you to authenticate against an LDAP database if your system is configured to do this. Since we are not running an LDAP-based network, it's difficult for us to fully test this (and even then, it would not necessarily be the same environment any of our customers has), but we have been able to run GO-Global for UNIX and authenticate against an OpenLDAP server.

GO-Global for UNIX v2.1.x and earlier did not support PAM, so most likely would not have worked well with an LDAP-based authentication system.

(v2.2.0 and later are available from ftp.graphon.com)
