Q. What are the components of GO-Global for Windows?
A. GO-Global for Windows consists of two parts: the GO-Global Host software, and the GO-Global Client software. The GO-Global Host software runs on a central Windows server along with the application being published. Q. Which versions of Windows are supported with GO-Global for Windows?
A. The GO-Global for Windows Host software requires one of the Windows operating systems listed on the Systems Requirements page.

Q. How many users can connect to the host?
A. A single user license can have only one connection to the host but several sessions. In other words, you can run multiple applications with the same user id or log-on. Licensing is based on concurrent usage, so users can connect from different stations or locations but only the allotted number of licenses can be checked out.

Q. Can I publish an entire PC desktop?
A. GO-Global can display the user's desktop or a list of published applications. GO-Global cannot display the desktop of the console session of the host.

Q. If I have a Web server, do I need to install the GO-Global server software on the same system as my Web server?

Product Licensing FAQs

Q. Can I customize my license file?
A. An evaluation license should not be modified, as it already is unlimited, open and applicable to any server or hostname. Any changes to the license file will typically make the license invalid. A permanent license is already pre-configured for your system(s) by our license generator. Any changes to this license file will also make the license invalid and a rehost form will be required.

Q. How do I transfer my license to a different server/host?
A. For accounting purposes, you must complete a License Rehost Form which is available on our License page.

Q. Where can I find pricing to get more user licenses?
A. You can send an email to the Sales Department. If you indicate your location, you’ll be automatically routed to the corresponding representative in your area.

Q. How can I combine multiple GO-Global for UNIX license files?
A. GO-Global for UNIX license files (typically named license.dat) that are redeemed for the same hostid and hostname, can be combined (merged) into one license file. This is generally used to add additional concurrent licenses to an existing license. It is also used when individual single-user licenses have been delivered to an ISV to allow them to flexibly deploy them in various configurations over time. This method describes how such licenses can be combined into a single license file, making all of the purchased licenses available. If all of the license.dat files are issued to the same server (that is, they all specify the same hostid), then they may be merged as follows:
1. Paste the entire contents from all the license files into a single license file.
2. Use a text editor to remove all but the first "SERVER" lines.

If your files are not issued to the same server, please complete the GO-Global License Rehost Request Form to obtain one or more licenses issued to the correct server. Note that multiple licenses can be rehosted into a single license if specified on the form.

Example:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
# NOTE: You can change the hostname on the "SERVER" line.
# You can also add a port number after the hostid on
# the "SERVER" line, like:
# SERVER hostname.domain.com 00HOSTID00 27009
# which will make the lmgrd managing this file use
# port 27009.
# Most other changes will invalidate this file.
# THIS LICENSE is ID 280728-AB
# The product code for this license is K7P722xAAUG4A2ESiaKK88932K3
