While the error can be indicative of a number of issues, you are most likely seeing the effects of two specific hotifxes released by Microsoft on October 11th; KB840987 and KB841533.

GraphOn has a compatibility fix for this which can be obtained from our support department.

A GO-Global update to resolve this issue for all server platforms may now be obtained from our public website via http://www.graphon.com/content/view/49/53/. The version and build number will be 3.0.2.2901 with a date-stamp of 10/21/2004.

I am starting a test / evaluation of GO-Global for Windows to see if the product would work for a number of my customers (as a Citrix alternative).

I have set up a test server with Windows 2000 (Professional) SP4 and IIS 5.0 with all SPs and Microsoft Windows Updates identified patches. After installing the GO-Global server, when I tried to start the Application Publishing Service it returned error 3582.

Per this topic (thread), I checked my download and it was dated 10/21/2004, but the Cluster Manager stated version 3.0.2.28?? (not 3.0.2.2901). (Note: Including the GO-Global version number and Windows Version in the file name (vs. just "ggw.exe" would be a big help.)

I have uniinstalled GO-Global server and downloaded another copy this morning. I have also downloaded the Microsoft security patches referenced in this topic. Questions:

- Do I need to / should I install the referenced Microsoft security patches?
- Does the GO-Global server download as of 11/19/2004 include the fix to this problem?

Yes, install the referenced Microsoft security patches. Our GO-Global Update service will detect that a new hotfix is present and will install new compatibility binaries.

If that does not resolve the problem, send me an e-mail ( This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ) with the APS error log and I will see if a new development build is appropriate.
