To resolve a version mismatch issue when using the ActiveX client, try one or more of the following suggestions (from the user desktop):
1. Remove the
IEGCtrl class file from the OS “downloaded program files” directory. Typically, the path is "
C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files" directory. You can remove the class file by right-clicking the file and selecting the Remove option.
If you have already removed the IEGCtrl class file:
2. Check the
C:\Windows\Downloaded Program Files directory from a command or DOS prompt. If you see any "CONFLICT" directories, remove them as well.
3. Check for the file <Temporary Internet Files>\goglobal-activex.cab. If it exists, remove it. Typically, the path is "
C:\Documents and Settings\%USERNAME%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files".
