Hi,

How do I display different applications based on the user/group that has logged on?

Thanks,

Kevin

Kevin,

Keeping in mind that GO-Global does not have or maintains it's own user database, it inherits all user/group permission settings from the Windows OS. Thus, if you want to allow an application to be seen (or run) by a specific user or group, you will need to restrict the permissions on the application executable (on the GG server).

Using the GO-Global Cluster Manager (application) as an example, right-click on the cm.exe program, select Properties and view the Security Tab info.

By default, we have taken away all rights for a normal, authenticated users but yet allowed access by the Administrator. Users can see (read) the application but not run it. If you want to further restrict this, you can take away the 'read' option and users will not see the application icon at all. Only the Administrator will be able to see & run the application.
