I have a product license code. I was told by the Sales that the product license code shall be good for two single user. As I have two servers with the same hostname/hostid and even IP, could you please tell me how I shall apply the license file through the web for licensing both servers?
I got the hostid at /opt/graphon/etc/ and the hostname from the command of "uname -a". It's it the right riectory getting host ID? and right way to get host name? In fact, I got exactly the same hostname/hostid from both server.
I really got confused how I shall apply for the license?
Please also check attached both servers' info.

Bill,

Your configuration appears to be that of a single server that has multiple interfaces (NICs) and IP addresses:

QUOTE:
MAC Address : 0x0015600905c6
IP Address : 172.24.12.20
MP Host Name : ndserver
HP-UX NDSERVER B.11.11 U 9000/800 2113728031 unlimited-user license
The FLEXlm host ID of this machine is "7dfcee1e"

Note that the "uname" output and the FLEXlm host ID are the same, but the MAC addresses and IP addresses are different. This is a good indication that this is the same physical machine, but it's connected to two different networks.

In this case, you should only need one license installed on the machine, and it will be available to connections coming in from either network interface.

Erik is correct that if you do have two separate servers, you can only "install" the license on one of them, but you can then configure the second server (or any number of additional servers) to obtain licenses from the one that the license is installed on. It doesn't sound like you need this, though, based on the above information.

Hope this helps,
Troy
