Pre-Sales Question 6 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Hello All,

We are another of those companies that are trying to move away from the world of Citrix (let alone MS Terminal Server).

Printing Question:
I've seen a few posts stating that Go Global does support the use of Local Client USB Printers. I've also; however, seen that this seems to only extend to local USB printers that support network functionality. Is this still true?

Not true. GGW supports *most* printers either local or networked, using either a local print driver or the Universal Print Driver. Having said that, not all printers are created equal and some drivers just don't play well in a network environment. You'll find that the success rate for support is higher with the UPD.

Thanks. I assumed the issue would go away with the UPD, I would probably go with use of a UPD alone anyway (less pains to deal with, or at least was when it came to MS TS or CTX).

Next Round of Questions:

With Go Global can we publish applications to given groups; yet, block other groups from their use (to the point where group 1 can see the app; however, group 2 wouldn't even see the choice)?

Can we publish applications that are run from the server's mapped network drives?

For the internal network users that already have network drives mapped, are those drives automatically discovered and displayed via Go Global? If so, can I hide those drives so the user only sees his local computer disk and the drives mapped via the login script?

Thanks
