In the competitor comparison there is mention of a Linux Client. Can GraphOn expand on this a little more - like how it operates and what is available.

Hello Nigel,
We currently have a beta-version of a native X11 client that operates on both UNIX and Linux desktops. It operates essentially at the level of our Java client in terms of features, which means that it lacks multiple-window support, and some of the niceties like clipboard support and file transfer have not been implemented.
If you would like to obtain a beta copy of the Linux client to see what it can do or how well it works, please contact <a href="mailto:

Our current plan is to have this client polished and ready for publication with version 3.0, which should be released sometime near the middle of next year.

Which GoGlobal version would this pre-release Linux client work with now?
When you say version 3.0 - is this GoGlobal3.0
Thanks for your info

Hi Nigel,
The UNIX/Linux client is built with each version of the software, so it is available for GO-Global for uNIX v2.0.3 or for GO-Global for UNIX v2.1, and will be available for GO-Global for UNIX v3.0 as well.

Nigel, the Linux client operates virtually identical to the Windows client. It provides the same look & feel GUI interface, feature options as well as fast, native performance. You would install the binary in any directory and upon start-up, you will be asked for a server name or IP address to connect, just like the Windows client.
