I am now testing GG 2.2.4, and am seeing problems in GNOME desktop sessions with screen painting and slow refresh. Moving windows and popping up menus leaves black squares on the screen. Sometimes windows "disappear" until you move the mouse over them. These problems do not appear in KDE desktop. My OS is RedHat WS 4 update 3.
