By default, the GO-Global for UNIX software utilizes only TCP port
491 to connect between the client and the server. We also support the use of port
791 for SSL-communications (allowing 56-bit DES and 256-bit AES encryption). Note that you can change the default GO-Global port to be any acceptable port as defined by your security policy.
On the server, the X servers allocate ports in the 6000 + DISPLAY range. Note that these ports are local to the server and none of them handle external connections between the PC and UNIX server (they exist only on the internal UNIX side of the network).
In GO-Global for UNIX v2.0 and v2.1, the server uses port 4491 by default as the PostgreSQL database port.
If you're using a central license server, you may also want to review the ports used on the FLEXlm server. The default is typically 27000 or 744. See
http://www.iana.org/assignments/port-numbers
To establish a standard GO-Global session, you should only need port 491.
